The utilization of Shotcrete for Channel construction is a very logical approach to concrete placement when faced with difficult access requirements and/or when slopes would otherwise require a 1-sided form or Roller Screed construction. The use of Shotcrete provides for very quick and cost effective means of Channel construction, as it requires no setup and provides for rapid concrete placement. (Note: Shotcrete being placed at high velocity in order to achieve proper rebar consolidation and the ability to avoid having to use concrete vibrators).
