In order to overcome substantial construction complexities, provide substantial cost savings and ultimately accelerate the project schedule; PCL Construction Co. employed the services of Shotcrete Systems, Inc. to construct over 110,000 SF of 14" to 20" CIP Shear walls via Shotcrete. Through our collaborative efforts, Shotcrete Systems and PCL successfully constructed the over 110,000SF of required 1 - sided formwork to receive our Shotcrete walls; wherein we then successfully placed over 6,000cyds of 6,000psi Shotcrete. The majority of the Shotcrete walls were over 100' in height and provided the necessary shear values to support the steel structure. The use of Shotcrete on this project provided all of the desired objectives and helped to keep the project on time and on budget.
