SDSU Tunnel - San Diego, CA

After being originally lined with a robotic Shotcrete machine, field surveys found that the Shotcrete liner was not to project specifications and that additional Shotcrete would have to be added to the found thin spots. Subsequently, Shotcrete Systems consulted with the project engineers and assured them that we could accurately correct the thins spots manually and upon award of the project, successfully completed the tunnel to the project specifications. Approximately 50,000 SF of Shotcrete was placed at varying thicknesses.
