The utilization of Shotcrete for Channel construction is a very logical approach to concrete placement when faced with difficult access requirements and/or when slopes would otherwise require a 1-sided form or Roller Screed construction. The use of Shotcrete provides for a very quick and cost-effective means of Channel construction, as it requires no setup and provides for rapid concrete placement. (Note: Shotcrete being placed at high velocity in order to achieve proper rebar consolidation and the ability to avoid having to use concrete vibrators).
